AFL Gippsland - Umpire of the Year
In 2016 AFL Gippsland introduced an Umpire of the Year award at their Annual AFL Gippsland Coaches and Community Awards Dinner. The local Director of Umpiring will nominate their best umpire for the current season to the AFL Gippsland Coaches and Community selection committee. The Umpires are nominated from the 5 groups across Gippsland, East Gippsland Umpires Association, Gippsland Umpires Association, Latrobe Valley Umpires Association, Sale Umpires Associaiton and the South Gippsland Umpires Association. The winner is anounced in October.
